Ashbourne and Ratoath areas hit by water pipe burst

Irish Water is working with Meath County Council to undertake urgent repairs to restore water to Ashbourne and Ratoath after a major water main eruption. The crews are working to fix the main burst line as quickly and safely as possible in accordance with the COVID-19 protocols.

The repairs are expected to continue until tonight. Once the repairs have been successfully completed, normal water supplies will be restored. It can take two hours to restore normal water supplies to all customers. However, it is important to continue to follow HSE hand washing guidelines.
