ADVERTISEMENT BIDDERS for 2022 CONCRETE PAVEMENT AND STORM DUCT REPAIR VARIOUS LOCATIONS for CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA Sealed bids to be accepted at the City Clerk’s office at 100 E. First Street, Grand Island, NE 68801 or PO Box 1968. Grand Island, Nebraska 68802 until 2:00 p.m. (local time) Tuesday, February 1, 2022 for 2022 Concrete Paving Facility and Storm Channel Repair, various locations for the City of Grand Island. The offers will be open to the public at this time in the conference room no. 1 on the 1st floor of the town hall. Bids received after the specified time will be returned to sender unopened. Bids are to be submitted on forms provided by the City OR Bid documents, plans and specifications for use in preparing bids can be downloaded from the Quest CDN website www.QuestCDN.com for a fee of thirty dollars ($30). . Bids must be uploaded to the Quest CDN website and received before the specified time to be considered. Each bidder must submit a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond to the City Treasurer with their bid for at least five percent (5%) of the bid price, guaranteeing the bidder’s good faith and completion of the contract within fifteen (15) days at the bid price after acceptance by the city. “Your certified check, cashier’s check, or bid guarantee must be submitted in a separate envelope, secured to the outside of the envelope containing the bid.” Each envelope must be clearly marked with its contents. Failure to submit the required qualifying information in clearly marked and separate envelopes will result in your bid not being opened or considered. Please return one (1) original and one (1) copy of each Quotation Sheet. The successful bidder must comply with fair labor standards as per Nebraska RRS 73-102 and Nebraska RRS 48-657 regarding contributions to the State of Nebraska’s Unemployment Insurance Fund. The successful bidder will meet the city’s insurance requirements and provide performance and payment bonds. The winning bidder must adhere to a drug-free workplace policy. Bids will be evaluated by Buyer on the basis of price, quality, adherence to schedule, plan and specification, economy and efficiency of operation, bidder’s experience and reputation, bidder’s ability, capacity and skill to perform the required contract and bidder’s adaptability certain items for the specific purpose. Buyer reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities therein and, in its sole discretion, accept the bid that is in the best interests of the city. Buyer also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse any portion of a selected listing that is in the best interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date.
