BRICEVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – At Briceville Elementary School, students received an extra boost from an unexpected location.
There are motivational quotes on the bathroom stands in the girls’ bathroom.
“I feel confident and I don’t feel like there is nothing more I can do,” said Savannah Bailey.
Bailey is a fourth grade student who helped add motivational quotes that say, “Who rules the world? Girls. “And” Shoot the moon. Even if you miss it, you’ll end up under the stars. “
“It lifts you up and has a better and brighter day,” said Jill Johnson.
Johnson has been a Head Start instructor in Briceville for nearly a decade. She and Savannah, along with others, worked on this project for five hours during the spring break.
Johnson said, “There’s sunshine when I go in there, when I go to the bathroom.”

You can’t say anything about the booths, but from the outside there are a multitude of positive messages at each booth to lift the spirits of the students.
“We can happily learn how not to lie down,” said Emma Lindsay, a fifth grade student.
The girls motivated their friends and each other.
Fourth grader Lavender Brannam said, “You really made me feel special and if I try really hard I can achieve what I want.”
The older students can help the younger ones by reading the news to them and giving them girl power.
“I hope when you go in there and I hear you repeat it, I hope that it will sink in your heart and that you will take it to heart as you start your day,” said Johnson.
At Briceville Elementary, it makes a difference.
“I feel like the line up really changed the school,” said Bailey.
The quotes were a donation. The organizers are thinking of expanding the boys’ bathroom as well.
