California contractors, plumbers come to SA to help West Side residents with winter storm repairs

SAN ANTONIO – Residents on the city’s West Side get a helping hand from a group of contractors and plumbers from California after the winter storm.

The contractors and plumbers who are part of the San Diego Area Group Kingdom Builders are offering their services free of charge to residents affected by the winter storm in Texas. This emerges from a press release received on Saturday.

The group is working with the state of Texas to obtain an interim license for the group. She will be present in San Antonio from February 26th to March 1st to help residents meet their plumbing needs and repairs.

Specifically, the group will work in Councilor Shirley Gonzales’ District 5. The effort was coordinated by Diana Sanchez, ex-CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio, and Leonard Rodriguez, ex-CEO / director of Westside Development Corporation, both of who are community leaders.

According to a statement from Gonzales’s office, Kingdom Builders “will dedicate their time and resources to helping residents and will have driven around the country with a trailer full of equipment and sanitation that is badly needed in our community.”

Bernie Lopez of Kingdom Builders and David Chiddick, owner and master plumber of Koffie, support the effort and expense of the crew traveling to San Antonio this weekend.

“Not only will they bring a trailer of supplies and plumbing to make the necessary repairs for residents, but they have raised over $ 10,000 with a Go Fund Me drywall and paint repairs initiative that these homeowners do need to undergo, “Gonzales’ office said in a statement to KSAT.
