SDNY COURTHOUSE, Dec. 9 – Ricardo Castro and Jeff Jackson sued AABC Plumbing Inc. for calling them independent contractors rather than employees.

On December 9, the US District Court for the Southern Borough of New York, Judge Vernon S. Broderick, held a trial. Inner City Press reported on it.

Judge Broderick informed the parties that they have a trial date on February 22, 2022 – but only as a third option for that day.

There are two criminal cases ahead of them. Judge Broderick stated that prosecutors often make a plea with a deadline for acceptance.

He said more could be known a month before the trial and set a different date for December 17 and 2:30 p.m.

The case is Castro et al. v AABC Plumbing, Inc. et al., 17-cv-1205 (Broderick)
