The state is asking Reyerson what was recovered from the crime scene that day, May 25, 2020. Two $ 20 bills were shown in a photo, and Reyerson adds that a pipe and pill were also found at the crime scene.

Reyerson, the BCA, sent these invoices to US intelligence to “process” them. #DerekChauvinTrial pic.twitter.com/dIXjWYza4q

He testified that Floyd’s SUV and patrol car were processed by the BCA Crime Scene team at the scene on May 27.

According to Reyerson, Dragon Wok, located across from Cup Foods, did not want to give any footage of its own from the perspective of the incident. The BCA issued an arrest warrant to obtain this footage.

Reyerson was asked if it was typical for a BCA agent to attend the autopsy. He replied “yes” but added that this was not possible in this case due to COVID-19 restrictions.

According to Reyerson, prosecutors requested that Floyd’s vehicle be reworked “with particular emphasis on a few specific items that contain a potential pill”. This was December 2020. #DerekChauvinTrial

Frank: Is this the moment in the meeting between Mr. Floyd and Mr. Chauvin when Mr. Floyd seems to stop making verbal noises and talking?

Reyerson, “Yes sir.” pic.twitter.com/HktKCt4Atm

The state concludes their questioning. The defense takes over.

“It’s fair to say the BCA’s investigation into this case has been quite extensive,” Nelson asked the BCA agent.

“Yes,” Reyerson replied.

Reyerson said about 200 witnesses were interviewed by citizens. He also confirmed that 440 individual police reports had been drawn up and filed on the case.

Nelson: And I just want to make sure you’re not suggesting that the defense kind of put the pill pieces in that patrol car.

Reyerson: No sir, I am not suggesting that. https://t.co/62M5c14gLL

Reyerson said he heard Floyd say, “I’ve been on too many drugs” in one of the footage on the body camera. That is another answer from Sgt. Stiger this morning.

The defense believes the liquid leaking under the car is condensation from the vehicle.

Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jody Stiger finished testifying Wednesday morning during the Derek Chauvin Trial and BCA Senior Special Agent James Reyerson will take his place on the stand when the court is back in session.

Judge Peter Cahill says the court will meet again at 1:15 p.m. after a lunch break.

The state and defense interview continues to focus on the use of force during the May 25, 2020 incident.
