Sheldon, Iowa – Two streets in Sheldon will be closed starting this week due to necessary repairs to the city’s sewer system.
City Manager Sam Kooiker says the streets affected are Washington Avenue from Highway 18 or Park Street south to 4th Street. This section of the road will be closed from Monday, July 12th.
The other affected area is 4th Street, from Washington Avenue west to 8th Avenue. Kooiker says the road will be closed starting Wednesday July 14th. Both road closures will last a few more weeks.
Kooiker says houses with driveways on these streets must park in the back if they have access to an alley or while repairs are being made on other streets.
