Filthy human poo floods disabled woman’s garden leaving her ‘trapped’

Human Poo flooded the garden of a disabled woman just a few days after it was drained.

The flood of stinking sewage has prevented Lisa Sadler or her dogs from stepping out the back door of their Whitley, Berkshire, home.

Lisa told BerkshireLive she’s been feeling “trapped” a little over a week since Thames Water addressed the issue on March 6, which temporarily cleared the garden of feces.

But now Lisa, who has had a stroke and was diagnosed with bipolar, is stuck again when the garden flooded on March 11th.

Sewer overflow has been a problem on the property for more than eight years.

She said, “I can’t believe it happened again.

“They came on Saturday and they were really good and they cleared the sewer and the water drained off pretty quickly.

“But now it’s back and I can’t take my dogs out or use my yard again.

“It happens over and over again.

“Thames Water said this time they would come and put a camera in the sewer to see if they could see the problem, but it is no longer acceptable.”

She previously stated that the situation had such a bad impact on her condition that she would vomit.

Thames Water has cited people in the area as the cause of the problem, putting items like wet towels in their toilets.

However, a spokesman said an investigation was being conducted to see if anything else was causing the problem.

He said: “We appreciate the horrific wastewater flooding can be and empathize with everyone involved.

“Our engineers will conduct a sewer inspection to determine the cause of the flooding and ensure that the flooded area is cleaned and disinfected.”

Thames Water also advises its customers on the “three Ps” – poop, pee and paper – which are the only things that should be put on the toilet.
