Frozen Pipes Leads To Dispute Between Plumbers: Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL – The following information was obtained from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police, as well as incidents arrested on criminal charges. Updated information may be obtained from the Circuit Court Cook County Clerk. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless they are found unequivocally guilty in a court of law.

Incidents

RETAIL THEFT

One person reported at 11:21 a.m. on February 12 that a woman in her twenties was seen removing two feminine beauty products without paying for them at Walgreens, 1000 Block Waukegan Road.

SUSPECTIVE CIRCUMSTANCES

A resident of the 2000 block of Valencia Drive called the police at 12:16 am on February 13 to report they believed someone had tried to open their door. The officers checked the area and could not find anything suspicious.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Maple Avenue resident reported at 11:11 a.m. on Feb. 12 that he had received three notifications from various credit agencies about loan applications that he had not applied for.

Civil dispute

A resident of the 2100 block on Brentwood Road called the police on February 12 to report that they had signed a contract and left bail for home improvement work not done last September.

Teen injured while shooting at Edens near Northbrook: Police

THEFT

One person reported at 11:11 a.m. on February 16 that someone had removed four motorcycle tires from their parking garage.

THREATS

One person called police at 1:17 p.m. on Feb. 17 to report that two people from another office threatened them while they were looking for frozen water pipes in a building on the 1800 block of Techny Road. The complainant stated that there was an ongoing problem between them and one of the people in the other office. The two people were contacted by officials and instructed to avoid contact with the complainant.
