G53: Water supply in Glasgow interrupted due to burst pipe

A burst water pipe in Glasgow cut supplies to some residents.

Scottish Water engineers are currently working to repair the damaged main line in the G53 area.

The repair work is expected to take around 5 hours.

Until then, residents may not experience water supply, low / intermittent pressure, or discolored water.

A spokesman for Scottish Water said: “We are currently repairing a burst water pipe that is cutting off water for customers in G53, Glasgow.

“The full repair is expected to take 5 hours from now on. The water supply will gradually return to normal for customers after the repair is complete.

“While we are doing the repair, please be aware that you may not experience a water supply, low / intermittent pressure, or discolored water.”
