Transwestern Development Co. announced on April 29th that General Plumbing Supply Inc. (GPS) has signed a long-term lease for 300,000 square feet in the Piscataway Logistics Center – a new industrial project comprising two buildings at 330 S. Randolphville Road.

The lease commitment with the 100-year-old company – one of the largest distributors of plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial supplies on the East Coast – was completed approximately five months before construction was completed in the fall of 2021.

Avison Young owned both the purchase and lease of the property, while Avison Young and The Blau & Berg Co. represented GPS.

“We are very proud that GPS has selected the Piscataway Logistics Center for its new headquarters, showroom and distribution center,” said Brian Banaszynski, regional partner of TDC Logistics Group. “The widespread interest in this project underscores the strength and importance of the industrial property market in New Jersey. We are confident that this state-of-the-art facility will offer the efficiency and flexibility that GPS has sought for a well-located, modern distribution facility. “

The Piscataway Logistics Center, a development by TDC and its partner QuadReal Property Group, is located on 16 acres just 60 km from New York City. The asset includes a Class A base warehouse covering 151,748 square feet and a fully renovated warehouse covering 146,000 square feet. Both buildings with rear loaders have a clearance height of 36 feet, combined 39 dock doors, sufficient parking spaces for cars and trailers, and a combined depth of truck space of 185 feet.

Avison Young’s Tim Cadigan, Matthew Turse and Grant Otto represented the property. Ed English and Ron Ganter from Avison Young and Michael Schipper from Blau & Berg represented GPS.
