Q: Hi Ed: I plan to half remodel our kitchen. I remember an article you wrote about how installing an artistic style faucet can become the main focus of small kitchen remodeling. Any unique faucet finish ideas? – Todd, Kansas

ON: Installing a high-end kitchen faucet with a lot of artistic style can become the focal point for minor remodeling work in the kitchen. Changing accent fittings like cabinet and drawer pull-outs to match the new faucet style and finish can add even more design to the kitchen.

With that in mind, it’s important to choose a unique faucet finish.

One trendy finish that I like is called oil rubbed bronze. Many new kitchen faucets with fancy options now feature oil-rubbed bronze finishes so you don’t have to forego the power of a faucet. This deep, dark, rich color with a touch of shiny bronze is suitable for both classic and modern kitchens.

Bottom line: installing an oil rubbed bronze kitchen faucet can really rub you right.
