EARNINGS GROWTH FOR TERMINALS WHEN INDUSTRY STEPS

Plumbing earnings rose 4.8% last month as the construction industry made further strides after a seasonally sluggish start to the year, according to Hudson Contract.

Hudson Contract, the sector’s largest self-employed, said the median weekly wage for plumbing companies rose to £ 983 in February.

Hudson provides professional services to more than 2,500 construction SMBs with sales of £ 1.6 billion. Ian Anfield, General Manager, said: “We are seeing growing demand for plumbing companies across England and Wales. Many of our customers are in residential construction and report full order books.

“Interest rates are at a record low. Recent data from the Bank of England shows that the mortgage market is strong and the government is committed to new infrastructure spending. The pandemic has been tough for everyone, but the sector has caught on, underscoring its importance to the entire UK economy. “
