The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University in Lapai (IBBUL) has trained students of the institution in sanitary engineering.

The entrepreneurship training, held at the Institute of Technology and Innovation in Minna, Niger State, aimed to familiarize students with the basics of installation and pipe assembly.

CIED coordinator Dr. Abubakar Gud ugi asked the participants to use the workshop to become independent.

He emphasized the importance of training and stated that securing employment after graduation was difficult.

One of the participants, Ibrahim Mohammed, said it was an interesting experience. He noted that many aspects of plumbing were being taught.

“We learned how to drain water from a reservoir and how to fix a bathtub and other bathroom materials,” he said.

Another student in the Arab department, Mikhail Zulqanaini, said the training gave him the opportunity to acquire new skills.

After the training, certificates were given to participants from different departments.
