Interim measure in place to evade Msunduzi sewage pipe disaster

The national water and sewage authority has instructed the municipality of Msunduzi to divert the sewerage system that runs through the Darvil pipeline to another pipeline as an interim solution.

The Msunduzi Municipality has been instructed to take immediate action to prevent a catastrophic spillage of sewage into the Msunduzi River.

The national ministry of water and sewage ordered the community on Friday to divert sewers running through the Darvill line to another line. This is a temporary solution to avoid an environmental disaster.
