According to the company, which maintains the plumbing system in the building where the bloody incident occurred, the missing part would not be located “even if all the pipes were dismantled”.
A 29-year-old man from Beersheba, Israel, cut off his penis and flushed it in the toilet, Israeli news portal Mako reported this week.
According to the report, the man had suffered excruciating groin pain and, could no longer bear it, took a kitchen knife and cut off part of his manhood. Overwhelmed by emotions and his bizarre self-surgery, the man knew nothing better than to throw the severed organ into the toilet and flush it down.
He was taken to Soroka Medical Center after his mother found him bleeding in his bed hours later. His mental state is currently being investigated.
According to the Israel Hayom newspaper, the police turned to the Beersheba water and sanitation company to inquire whether the body part could be recovered from the pipe system. However, the company said it would be a futile search.
