Jobber has launched a new grant program: Boost by Jobber aims to support entrepreneurs in the field of home services.
Aspiring entrepreneurs, new business owners, and longtime home service entrepreneurs are invited to apply for grants between $ 1,000 and $ 20,000. A total of 20 home service companies in more than 50 industries including lawn care, plumbing, home cleaning, and painting will receive a total of $ 100,000.
Applications are now being accepted. The deadline for entries is May 5th. The finalists will be announced in July. The list of winners will be announced in August.
“Home service entrepreneurs make meaningful impacts on their local communities and neighborhoods,” said Sam Pillar, CEO and co-founder of Jobber. “They employ millions of people while they work behind the scenes to keep homes, offices, and other spaces safe and in good condition. Despite their important contributions, small businesses are largely underserved in corporate finance. Boost by Jobber helps fill this void by providing service company entrepreneurs with additional working capital that may not otherwise be available through traditional banks and government grant programs. ”
Boost by Jobber grants are divided into categories that reflect different stages in the company’s growth. This includes ideas on paper, recently launched companies, and established companies. There is also an additional category for COVID-19 support. Five will be selected from each of the following five winners:
- Almost entrepreneurs (pre-business): Those who have the drive to start and run a home service business but need money to get started.
- New business owners (0-3 years): Entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of building their team, client list, and services.
- Experienced entrepreneurs (over 3 years): Entrepreneurs ready to scale their mature business to the next phase of growth.
- COVID-19 support: Entrepreneurs looking for financial support or resources for the good of their team.
Whether a company is buying new equipment, increasing marketing dollars, launching a new service, training teams, or needs financial relief, funds from the Boost by Jobber program can go a long way in helping small business owners succeed.
