The Lake Delton Village Board went through a brief meeting on September 9th during which board members wanted to demonstrate the new Vactor truck parked in front of the administration building.

Vactor, based in Streator, Illinois, manufactures sewage purification equipment, and the village’s new truck arrived just in time for the board meeting on September 9th. Lake Delton Village Clerk / Treasurer / Coordinator Kay Mackesey was particularly excited to demonstrate the village’s new sewer cleaner.

“Go outside and check out the new Vactor truck,” Mackesey said after the meeting. “Everyone wants to see that.”

Outside of the new cleaning equipment, the board’s agenda for September 9th was short. The Trustees have agreed to submit a proposal for a regulation that will update the community code’s position on occasional activities.

Currently, the Code defines occasional activities as “one-time amusements, attractions, or events not listed elsewhere in ss. 2/21 or 6/21 VMC and are conducted for less than 3 days and are not entirely located in an approved building. “

The authority has passed a new ordinance on the requirements for external maintenance of the village, which can be found in Chapter 34 of the village’s municipal code. The Trustees passed a new Sauk County Memorandum accepting the county’s intergovernmental computing and technology services.
