Los Angeles Plumber Advises Only Weeks Remaining for LA Home Owners to take Advantage of Energy Efficiency Tax Credits

More environmentally conscious water heaters are very popular with Los Angeles consumers.

The state tax breaks that Los Angeles homeowners have availed of in their thousands will expire in just a few weeks and most likely will not be replaced in their current form in 2011. Through December 31, 2010, homeowners can receive tax breaks of up to 30% (up to a maximum of $ 1,500) on upgrades to highly efficient hot water installations such as instant water heaters. Los Angeles water heater expert Schuelke Plumbing advises that now is the time to use a greener water heater system before the credits expire.

Lead plumber in Los Angeles, Jimmy Schuelke of Schuelke Plumbing, says, “More environmentally conscious water heaters have been very popular with Los Angeles consumers recently. Schuelke Plumbing has installed hundreds of the systems. Part of their popularity is that they have lower energy consumption and lower running costs. Customers also enjoy that the hot water never runs out. So don’t miss the opportunity to receive a tax credit of $ 1,500 for the installation. “

The instant water heater technology uses less energy than traditional water heaters because it heats the water when needed instead of storing a full tank. Heating hot water is one of the main energy consumers in the home, according to the EPA.

As it stands with the current tax proposals, the 30% tax credit up to a maximum of $ 1500 will be replaced by a lifetime credit of 10% up to a maximum of $ 500 from 2011. This credit can only be used once and customers who have previously used a similar tax credit will not be eligible.

“The next few weeks really are the last chance Los Angeles homeowners have to take advantage of the $ 1,500 tax credit to improve the energy efficiency of their hot water system,” says Jimmy Schuelke.

The federal tax credit for water heater upgrades will expire on December 31, 2010.
