The Memphis Flyer is the alternative weekly newspaper of Memphis and serves the metropolitan area of Memphis with nearly one million inhabitants. The flyer was launched in 1989 by Contemporary Media, Inc., the local publisher of Memphis Magazine. For over 30 years, The Memphis Flyer has taken to the streets every Wednesday morning with a mix of serious hard news and the best of Memphis entertainment coverage.
