Plumbers headed to Houston from all over country to help with repairs

KATY, Texas – Plumbers come from all over the county to help with repairs in Texas.

A West Virginia plumbing company raised $ 20,000 to help families in the Houston area with repairs. You plan to stay and work for the next several weeks in a row.

“That whole trailer behind me is fully loaded and these vans are loaded,” said Bob Silberstein of American Professional Plumbing Services of West Virginia.

Silberstein and his brother David pack up and bring tons of supplies to the Houston area.

“Pegs, copper, PVC, everything everyone needs at home will be down there. Fittings, couplets, ”said Silberstein.

He said this would help with the great shortage. They plan to help about 1,000 households in some of the hardest hit areas over the next two weeks.

They posted on Facebook, “We’re being charged to drive to Texas for about 24-25 hours, and then we’ll be there to help those in need. The crew plans to work 14 to 15 hour days, seven days a week for the next four weeks. “

“We’re leaving tomorrow morning at 4 o’clock. We launched a GoFundMe page last week so we can stock up on material we can bring to Texas. We raised $ 20,000 to help families who can’t afford plumbing repairs and families GofundMe will pay for, “Silberstein said.

Another crew came all the way from South Carolina to help clean up water damage.

Kingsley Restoration employees drove 16 hours and worked for the last five days in a row. This week focused on doing repairs in Katy.

“We worked 12 to 16 hour shifts. We received a call that said you were okay. Can you come out and help me we’re too busy? We can’t keep up with all the calls. That’s why we came out and started helping, ”said Salvator Louis of Kingsley Restoration.

Another plumbing company is also in town from New Mexico.

They told KPRC 2 the work had just started. They also worked 24/7 in Houston and Katy and will continue for the next few weeks.
