Portion of Third Street in Bay City to close for emergency sewer repair

BAY CITY, MI – Bay City drivers will face two traffic issues early in the work week.

Bay City announced that Third Street, between Trumbull Street and Pendleton Street, will be closed on Monday March 22nd for an emergency sewer repair. According to the city, the closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last until the work is completed.

The completion date for the emergency repair is currently unknown. Motorists are advised to avoid this area of ​​Third Street.

In addition, crews will be performing maintenance and inspection work on the Liberty Bridge from March 22-30. At this point, the engineers will also conduct their biannual inspection of the bridge.

According to the city, there will be road closures and possible bridge test openings during the entire working period, which will lead to temporary closures and delays.
