Potentially disruptive water pipe replacement work near Portlaoise schools rescheduled

Irish Water, in partnership with Laois County Council, announced that work to replace the water pipes on Colliers Lane in Portlaoise has been temporarily postponed.

The work to replace 300 meters of leaking pipes should take place on April 12 and has now been postponed to the beginning of May. Further updates will be made available before work begins.

The company previously said work would not take place on the main access road to the two secondary schools on the busy road.

Irish Water has confirmed that work will continue at Tonduff, Abbeyleix. This requires road closures.
