“While SAWS has restored water service throughout its service area, there are still some customers who are unable to access water due to burst pipes and pipes preventing water from flowing to their homes,” said Robert Puente, President / CEO of SAWS. “This program will fill this gap so that our neighbors have reliable access to drinking water again.”
Renters who meet the criteria can receive discounts / services. However, you must get a signature from the landlord / owner on an approval / waiver form.
The CPR program began in partnership with the San Antonio Area Foundation with $ 25,000 in seed capital from Wells Fargo and a donation of $ 250,000 from the San Antonio Spurs.
To help SAWS provide assistance to as many residents as possible, the utility is asking residents and businesses to make a tax-deductible donation online.
As an additional resource, the City of San Antonio has set up the Emergency Resource Call Center and website to assist residents affected by the winter storm.
