PELETIER, NC (WNCT) A section of a Carteret County freeway is slated to close next week while crews from the NC Department of Transportation replace a drainage pipe.
NC 58 is slated to be closed near Bucks Corner Road from November 16 through November 20 at 7:30 a.m.
There will be two detours; Tractor units are prohibited.
The vehicle-only detour is via Bucks Corner Road and Whitehouse Fork Road.
The detour by semi-trailer and long-wheeled vehicles follows US 17, Belgrade-Swansboro Road and NC 24.
Drivers should expect additional time commuting during the week and should exercise caution when driving in the work zone.
