The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Bedford County’s maintenance workers will be performing a pipe replacement on Route 31 that will require a one-day detour on Tuesday, October 5.
As a result of this work, a detour via Route 31, Route 30 and Route 96 will be set up.
To accommodate trucks going to Manns Choice and south on Route 96, a single lane swap lane will be maintained on Route 31 over the Kinton Bridge, with a weight limit specified. After the pipe replacement has been completed, trucks should follow the designated truck diversions.
This diversion is expected to only last a single day, but in the event of weather or complications the diversion will remain Wednesday, October 6th.
