The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) said in a statement today that it does not repair broken pipes in customers’ homes.

“We have noticed that someone pretending to be an employee of the Barbados Water Authority has reached out to residents of a house to seek access to allegedly repair a pipe that someone in the house had reported.

“If a customer requests that an agency representative visit their property to resolve a problem, an appointment can be made and all BWA employees should provide photo identification and wear the uniform issued by the Barbados Water Authority,” it said in the statement.

“Individuals are advised that under no circumstances should they allow strangers to enter their home. Please be aware and stay safe. ” (PR)
