Summit Township to receive financial assistance to upgrade water pump station

Summit Township receives financial support to modernize a water pumping station.

The Summit Township Sewer Authority was granted a $ 2.5 million loan to replace an existing pumping station on Oliver Road.

The project will enable new connections to the existing sewer system while reducing untreated or inadequately treated discharges into local waterways.

The funding is part of a nationwide investment of $ 117 million in water infrastructure projects.
