Texas Emergency Management Chief helping Texans reach out to FEMA for frozen pipe water damage

Texas Emergency Management chief, Chief Nim Kidd, is helping Texans who may have frozen pipe water damage.

As Texas warms up and the streets clear, many Texans are stuck cleaning up damage to frozen pipe water.

Chief Kidd tweeted a link to a survey Texans could fill out to explain the damage done to their home. Chief Kidd will also send the information to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

If your water pipes in your home are frozen, call local officials to send a crew to turn off the water at the meter. It is important to do this before you defrost the pipes to minimize water damage to your home and avoid unnecessary water loss
