Water efficient, low flow toilets have become the new standard for bathroom fixtures, but industrial engineers have gone a step further. A double flush toilet offers users the option of a standard 1.28 gallon flush for solids or a minimum 0.8 gallon flush for liquids. The total water consumption is noticeably reduced, and the modern flushing technology means little loss of flushing performance.
