Trenchless Pipe Bursting Manufacturer TRIC Tools attends 41st Annual Los Angeles PHCC Flow Expo

Adam was great and was easy to entertain guests on virtually any LA affair.

The Californian pipe bursting manufacturer TRIC Tools is happy to support its customers. One of the organizations TRIC works closely with is California Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors (PHCC). The PHCC Association provides plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) contractors the resources they need to be the best and continuously improve their services. During these events, TRIC learns about the challenges these PHCC contractors are facing.

To kick off the busy Spring Fair, Assistant Manager Laura Servin, Sales Executive Jay Battin and Machinist Greg Lee represented TRIC Tools at the 41st annual PHCC Flow Expo in the Los Angeles area on April 23. The event took place at the Long Beach Convention Center. TRIC has always enjoyed this show as there are plenty of restaurants and nightclubs near the Long Beach boardwalk. The event took place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. TRIC presented its X30 side burst system.

About 5000 participants attended the one-day event. Jay Battin and Greg Lee attended the PHCC Welcome Dinner the evening before. Here the Californian PHCC President Louis Senteno welcomed the guests of the event. Also at dinner were Julio Jaime from Los Angeles Roto Rooter and Roger Lighthart from Lighthart Construction. Both Julio and Roger are long-term business partners and long-term TRIC customers. Julio is currently the director of the California PHCC, and both he and Roger have long been supporters of the PHCC and on California plumbing boards to aid plumbers and the industry. Julio’s nephew Adam provided entertainment with acoustic guitar and pop music. “Adam was great and had no problem entertaining guests on virtually any affair in Los Angeles,” noted Jay Battin. During the show, Roger Lighthart, Julio Jaime and Lee Clifton stopped by the TRIC booth. Lee Clifton is the former Los Angeles City Chief Building Inspector who trained Los Angeles construction inspectors on the TRIC pipe bursting process in 2000. After more than 20 years with the City of Los Angeles, Lee now represents the International Code Council as director of plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas, swimming pools and government relations.

The association of plumbers for plumbing, heating and cooling has been supporting PHCC building contractors for over 120 years in achieving their goals and pooling their strengths. PHCC of California provides resources and training that will advance the PHCC industry as a science and profession. For more information on a local PHCC association or how to get more involved in the industry, please visit the national PHCC website: http://www.phccweb.org or the Greater Los Angeles Area website at: http: // www.phccglaa.org.

The PHCC has not only had an impact on plumbing companies, but has also given individuals a second chance through the PHCC’s training program for plumbing installations. Executive Vice President Tracy Threlfall has a touching article on how Nicholas Matteson changed his life through the program.
