U.S. 422 Lane Closure Scheduled Weekdays for Pipe Replacement in Lower Pottsgrove Township

King of Prussia, PA – US 422 motorists will be traveling between Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges Wednesday, July 7 through Friday, July 16, in both directions for pipe replacement as part of a structure replacement project that crosses Park Road and Pleasantview Road, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the highway in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County will face a road block in both directions.

The planned working hours are:

  • US 422 heading east from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next morning; and
  • Westbound US 422 from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. the following afternoon.

In addition, drivers can use US 422 on Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday, July 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with regular 15-minute traffic delays in both directions between the intersections of Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard for the bridge reckon beam installation.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when driving through the work areas, as this can lead to traffic jams and delays. All planned activities are weather dependent.

The replacement of the Pleasantview Road and Park Road bridges over the US 422 is a preliminary contract prior to the start of the project to rebuild the US 422 between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.

H&K Group, Inc. of Skippack, Montgomery County, is the general contractor for the $ 7.1 million project, which is 80 percent federal and 20 percent federal. The entire project should be completed by the end of 2022.
