US 62 closed in Mason County next week for pipe replacement

MASON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – – The Kentucky Department of Highways crews will shut down part of US 62 in Mason County on Wednesday to replace a drainpipe.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, US 62 will be closed about half a mile east of KY 596 on the Maysville side.

Barricades will be erected at the intersection of KY 596 and Middleton Hill Road. The work and the road closure will continue until Wednesday, around 3 p.m.

During construction, through traffic via US 68 and KY 324 can be diverted through Mays Lick or other routes.

Road work plans can change based on weather conditions. Drivers are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work areas, and watch out for workers and construction machinery when traveling.
