On Tuesday’s episode (NBC, 9 / 8c), when Kate informs Toby that her shower is doing that “thing” again, he ruefully informs her that the plumbing problem has spread to the kitchen, which is now leaking in the ceiling. She resigned herself to calling a plumber, but Toby is reluctant to pay someone to come and fix everything – especially now that he’s not working.
Kate (correct, we may add) points out that hiring a plumber can be expensive … but dealing with water damage and / or mold that can result from a botched home improvement job isn’t cheap either. Still, Toby assures her that he has everything under control. (And yet we’re definitely not the only ones who don’t feel good about this decision when they see the face Kate makes in the video he pulls up at the end of the clip.)
Elsewhere in the episode titled “The Music and the Mirror,” Beth ponders her career and Kevin is thrown a bit of an encounter with someone from his past.
