West Seattle Blog… | UTILITY ALERT: Emergency sewer repair

Seattle Public Utilities Sent us a community notice late today about repairs that may already be in progress as they should have started last Monday, but if it didn’t: The notice said there was at least six weeks of emergency work ahead of a pipe in the Alley “between 36th and 37th Ave SW and SW Stevens St and SW Hanford St.” to repair Business interruptions are not to be expected, according to SPU, but neighboring residents could “be asked to limit their water consumption”. There will be noise, heavy equipment, and construction traffic in the area. Work begins on the south side of the alley and will be moved north after about two weeks. Here is the official notice (PDF) which has project team contact information if you have any questions / concerns.
