POTS AND PANS

Armen shared a trick for removing stubborn grease and stains from your pots and pans.

He suggested putting half a lemon, baking soda, and vinegar in a saucepan and bringing to a boil.

Any residue is immediately removed with a simple scrub.

CUTTING BOARD

You can now revive your favorite cutting boards and watch stains disappear.

To remove stains from wooden cutting boards, Armen suggested putting salt on the stain and then scrubbing with half a lemon.

Cleaning hacks and tips

Here are some tips that may help you the next time you clean your home:

For plastic cutting boards, add both baking soda and vinegar, then scrub with half a lemon.

CLEAN MEASURING CUPS AND CHEESE GRATES

When measuring sticky ingredients like honey or syrup, it can be difficult to wash out the cups.

Before you fill your measuring cup, spray the inside with cooking spray to prevent the sticky ingredients from being left behind.

The same rules of Armen apply to the simple use of a cheese grater.

Spray the grater with cooking spray before grating the cheese and you’ll avoid the shreds getting stuck in the blades.

DESCALE A KETTLE

Remove minerals from hard water by descaling your kettle.

Just pour in vinegar and bring to a boil.

Leave the kettle for about an hour and it will look like new.

If you use your kettle every day, household experts recommend descaling it about four times a year.

REMOVE OVEN GREASE

Next, to easily remove oven grease, Armen suggested making a cleaning paste by mixing baking soda and vinegar.

Apply the mixture to grease inside your oven with a sponge.

Next, fill an ovenproof bowl with one cup of vinegar and leave in the oven over low heat for an hour.

Scrub the interior and say goodbye to the grease.

CLOGGED DRAINAGE

Armen shared how to unclog drains simply with baking soda and vinegar.

Pour both ingredients into the clogged sink and let the mixture sit for about five minutes.

Add hot water and watch your drain empty.

MICROWAVE STAINS

In a microwave-safe bowl, add vinegar and half a lemon and heat the bowl for a minute.

Remove the bowl and easily wipe away food or stains inside the microwave.
