“To avoid unsafe practices, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge to mechanize sewer and septic tank cleaning. A national helpline number has also been assigned around the clock, ”said a statement from Metrowater.
The statement added that the national helpline number ‘14420’ has been introduced and is working in the call center. Citizens are asked to register their complaints if they discover unsafe practices on this number.
