Advanced multifunctional pipe crawler from MEDIT for the inspection of pipes from 150 mm to 3500 mm. Depending on the configuration, this cost-effective system has cables from 200 meters to 600 meters on a manual or motorized reel, plot and measurement functions as well as full HD cameras front and rear.
Winnipeg, MB (PRWEB) – The SIGMA HD pipe crawler is designed and manufactured to fit most existing pipe types and shapes. In addition, this new system offers a comfortable working environment due to a large number of functions.
The steerable robot is equipped with a full HD color camera head for panning, tilting and zooming (PTZ), a powerful 10x optical zoom, a 12x digital zoom, integrated high-performance LEDs, laser measuring diodes and image stabilization, to name just the main ones -Highlights. In addition, the system is equipped with several sensors that measure internal pressure, inclination angle (inclinometer) and pipe rotation angle (gyrometer). Two powerful Faulhaber motors (110 W each) move the pipe crawler at a speed set by the control unit.
The control unit of the system has two touchscreens, a built-in telemetry computer with Telescan software and an internal memory of 256 GB. Two joysticks make controlling and navigating the robot easy and intuitive. The control unit is located in a hard-shell pelican for additional protection.
In general, durability and safety are some of the pipe creeper’s standout features. The G8 cables are multi-core, aramid-reinforced and protected with a thermoplastic housing, while the wet cable end is made of stainless steel. The standard model SIGMA HD 150 comes with an optional standard cable of 200 m (656 ‘) or 250 m (820’), while the extended SIGMA HD 200 version comes with a variety of cable lengths from 250 m (820 ‘) to 600 m ( 8 m) is delivered 1.968 ‘). The former simplified model is equipped with a manual reel with a tensioner and an intelligent winding function, while the latter, improved version of the system has a motorized reel that automatically unwinds, retracts and regulates the cable. Predictably, the robot with the camera and the cable are completely waterproof.
