Section of Elko Road closing Dec. 2 for pipe-replacement project

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close a section of Elko Road (Route 156) in Henrico – between Hughes and Hines Streets – on Wednesday, December 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a pipe replacement project.

The following detours will exist during the night closings: Street

• Elko Road North – Take Elko Road to Charles City Road (Rte. 156) to Dr. Airport. (Rte. 156) to Williamsburg Road (Rte. 60) back to Elko Road.

• Elko Road South – Take Elko Road to Williamsburg Road (Rt. 60) to Dr. Airport. (Rt. 156) to Charles City Road (Rt. 156) back to Elko Road.
